Us Forever

That Elusive Air!

Notable Difference

I wobble, I shake,
I know it's real.
I stare peel-eyed
My countenance a  steal.
You must be heaven-sent
For my heart,
 In multiple places is bent.
Here I am,
Take me
For myself,
I'll no longer be.
I am yours,
You are mine -
From every depth of darkness,
Our love shall always shine.

You reach for it
You groan
Longing for friendship
To be shown -
That elusive air!

You smile
You touch
Hoping for a return
That's much -
O elusive air!

Conversation -
You try:
"What's happening?"
"Not much."
That's dry.
Such friendship - a lie.
You search
You share
Hoping something, something
is there.

Be friendly
Remain true
Friendship, unstoppable,
Comes to you.

P.J. Grant

What's up?
Ready to puff?
Think life's unfair?
It's left you bare?

Wake up and learn -
Tiny blessings
Do not spurn.
Say "Thanks"
You'll see
An ocean of goodness
Yours to be.

It's simple
Yes 'tis so -
Walk in gratitude
And you'll grow.
Take time
Name your blessings
Remove stress
with you a-messing.

Jewish Brother

I’m sitting here thinking about how good G-d is.
Not worrying about the challenges of life.
Knowing what the challenges are,
Knowing that when the challenges come,
That I can be sitting thinking about how good G-d is.

Some days are really going well
Some days seem as if they’re planned in hell,
But just knowing that all things work together for good for me,
Causes me to sit here thinking how good G-d is.

He leads into righteousness as I cling unto his hand,
He leads me into challenges just to show me he is near and he is there.
He leads me in and he leads me out
And I know I’m in his hand
And in his heart.
I am his and he is mine
And that is just so fine.

The wisdom of the wise is wise.
But I know my wisdom is from above.
The authority of the world can be so fierce,
But mine is in my brother’s name
And his is from our Father.

You can show me all the news on some high definition screen
And broadcast it to me on some fancy surround sound speakers
But I’ve got news.  I’ve got the real news.  The real good news.
And my news is from the book and that book is from above.

My brother’s coming for a visit with his feet upon the Mount
All Israel will be saved and every knee,
Yes, every knee will bow unto my brother.
My big brother.
My big Jewish brother!

There will be peace in the land.
My people are going to have peace
In their hearts.
Deep in their hearts.
Real deep in their hearts,
Cause my brother’s coming to the land.
My brother,
My Jewish brother,
My Father’s son,
The redeemer of my soul,
is coming to the land.

There will be no crosses there,
No reverence of that tool.
No endearment for that execution tool.
That tool that took my brother from that land.

But the stars above will shine
As the stars below are placed here.
And the stars below are placed there.
Those Jewish stars,
Those stars of joy,
Those stars of David.

We will celebrate David’s son
Our Messiah,
Son of David
And son of Yah our Papa Yah.
Our Papa Yah.
Our wonderful, our marvelous, Papa Yah!

The Rabbi’s will be dancing with every Goy they see
Cause every Goy they see will be their family too.
Cause they have known our brother
And honor him as Lord
While blessing his own family of flesh
And of bone.

They have blessed our people
And they have blessed the land
With their mouths
And with their treasures.
In every thought and deed.
And they will be so honored by the man whom they call Jesus
As they find that this man Jesus is the Messiah of the Jews,
The son of David who has come back to his land.
Who has come back to the land.
Who has come back to our land.

The fate of some is dark, the fate of some is sad,
How will they feel when they see this man, this Jewish man?
This man whom they called Lord as they persecuted his own flesh
His family of flesh and his family of bone.
His family the Jews.
As they persecuted his own blood with their mouths and with their treasures.
In every thought and deed.

My brother’s coming for a visit with his feet upon the Mount
All Israel will be saved and every knee,
Yes, every knee will bow unto my brother.
My big brother.
My big Jewish brother!

The man whom they called Lord,
The man whom they called friend is the king of the Jews.
A king from the Jews.

Will he destroy each cross…
Each symbol of that execution too?
Will he raise up a shield?
A shield of his father.
A shield of David,
With that star,
A star of endearment.
A Star of David
A wonderful Jewish star.
A star of the father of the redeemer of my soul.
A star of the father of the savior of the world.

So as I can sit here smiling
Because it is him I know so well.
So I can sit here knowing that my fate is really sealed.
It is sealed in his love
It is sealed by his blood.
That Jewish blood that was shed for every man.
Whether brown, or white, or black or red.
That Jewish blood was shed for all.

There’s no time for despair
There’s no time for regret
But only time to praise his name,
His name,
His holy name.
His really Jewish name,
This Yeshua, redeemer of my soul.

Don't go away
Please stay
I know it's not for long
But Sweetie, my constitution's
not strong
To live one moment without you.

Out with friends
You must go
That trip seems not to end
Why so?
Been only thirty minutes
But I long for my Sweetie's gimmicks.

Come back!
Selfish me...
Don't want to be alone,
away from my Sweetie.

You say we're friends,
Why fuss so much?
That matter is trivial,
Yes, 'tis such!
Cherish life, love, good fun...
Friendship's beautiful run
Unfortunately coupled with life's
ultimatum.

Knock, knock, let me in
Don't lock me out
Cause your light's dim.
I'm here for you
Always - 'tis true.
Said I would,
Why not now?
Think life's troubles deal friendship
a pow-wow?

When are we friends?
Job's intact -
Give me a slap.
Kids doing well in school -
Yea, we're cool.
Spouse's honey, teddy bear
No doubt - let's cheer.
Wait, here comes a bump, a sore
You lock the door and say,
"No more."

Let me in
Alone, don't swim
Take my hand
Hold it tight
Help to life's promised land
That's your right.

p.j. grant

I love you
True?
Put up! Step up! Show up!
We share some things
Yet not all alike
Put up, will you
When parts of me spike?

I'm weak, you're strong
I'm strong, you're weak
Seek my weakness and help me up
Let me hang to dry
No - Step up - try.

Are you there?
Where?
I need you here
Emotions, ears and arms engaged
Show up
Help me out of this cage

p.j. grant

Love me, you say
Please show it, pray.
Love in secret is no love at all.
Let it be seen
Not said or thought -
Love is beautiful when it starts in the heart.

p.j. grant

Through wind and rain
Through sleet and snow
I'll always be the hand
   you know.
When tempted I'll run
Enticed, I'll shun
This body for you
All others I'll lose.

Enraptured, I swoon
In pain, I moan
Have learned that love -
  all feelings owned
But more than feelings is.

I commit, I pledge
Through wind through rain
Life's greatest strain
I'll stay, be strong
And be your wedge.
